Process of Synthesis of an Iodized Compound and Use of Other Cardanol Derivatives as Larvicides for Population Control of the Aedes aegypti Mosquito and Other Culicides The present invention describes the process of synthesis of larvicides for the control of mosquitoes causing diseases such as yellow fever, dengue fever, chikungunya and Zika virus, among other species of the subgenus stegomyia, characterized by employing biomass in its constitution, namely cardanol constituting the cashew nut liquid. This invention is constituted by procedures of low environmental impact to generate products of varied besides biodegradable properties. cardanol which is a mixture of 3 - ((z) -tetradec-7-enylphenol, 3 - ((7z, 10) -tetradec-7,10-dienyl) phenol, 3 - ((7z, 10z) - tetradec-7,10-trienyl) phenol from processed cashew nut liquid (technical lcc) are used as starting materials to react with epichlorohydrin, leading to the production of halohydrins and epoxy ethers. The new process blocks the life cycle of the Aedes aegypt mosquito, causing 100% mortality of the larvae over a period of 48 to 72h, with concentrations ranging from 0.33 to 12 ppm. aegypti (rockfeller lineage) stage whose derivatives showed cl95 72 hours = 12,337 ppm (limits 4,480 270,074) and cl50 48 hours = 0,327 ppm (limits 0,014 0,993) the toxic action and the mechanism of insecticidal activity relate with inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase.
