It is an apparatus and methods for combining time reversal and elastic nonlinearity of forming materials to quantitatively probe over-bore bottom regions prior to a wellbore drill to determine the distance to the overbone region, and to accurately measure downhole pore pressure in a formation. Classic and reciprocal time reversal methods can be used to achieve these measurements.
