A satellite navigation receiver and associated methods are described that can provide enhanced full ambiguity resolution and more accurate positioning information. a modified bie process may be used (307) to enable the receiver to perform the optimal ambiguity resolution more optimally. The output of the modified bie process can be time domain uniformized (308) to provide a solution that is more uniform in ambiguity and thus also provide a position solution that is more uniform in time. The transitions between an ambiguous solution to a floating solution, when necessary, can be uniformized over time. A weighting scheme can dynamically mix the ambiguous solution and the floating solution (310) to leverage the advantages of both solutions, such as faster pull-in, greater accuracy, and more stable and uniform performance.
