A drone with a high voltage trap searches, identifies, chases and destroys flying insects within a patrolling area. During its passive mode of attraction, the drone lands on a designated terrain site and attracts insects with light, sound and odors. Once the insects are attracted, the high voltage screen trap will immediately electrocute the targeted insects. In this active offensive mode, the drone hovers closer to insect nests using its high-speed propellers, producing strong downward drag currents to disturb the nest and force insects such as mosquitoes and the like to evacuate their nest. Once the insects are in the air, the drone chases the flying insects from below or behind, making use of its propellers and vacuuming the flying insects. Slow flying insects that come into contact with the high voltage electrified screens are immediately electrocuted. Insects that are vacuumed towards the rapidly rotating propeller blades are knocked down and killed. A rectified wireless charger recharges the drone's batteries.
