The present invention relates to feeders having pressure reducers (15) to reduce the higher pressure of the liquid supply to a lower pressure of the liquid for the supply of animal drinkers. For various reasons it is desired to change the reduced pressure. This occurs by adjusting the pressure reducers (15). It is known to perform such adjustment with compressed air. This requires a separate compressed air source and its line system. The present invention provides for adjusting the pressure reducers (15) hydraulically through the higher liquid pressure of the liquid supply. The energy required to adjust the pressure reducers (15) is provided by the liquid pressure of the liquid supply. thus, the pressure reducers (15) according to the present invention operate in a self-sufficient manner. No separate power source is required for pressure reducer adjustment (15).
