process of purifying immunoglobulin g (lgg) from human serum or plasma by sym aminoamxyl agarose or sym aminodecyl agarose gel chromatography. The invention describes a process of purifying immunoglobulin g (IgG) from human serum or plasma by negative co-aminohexyl agarose or Î ± -aminodecyl agarose gel chromatography. High purity IgG is obtained by negative chromatography by performing the following procedure: feeding the chromatographic column containing the o-aminohexyl agarose or n-aminodecyl agarose gel with "fresh" or diluted serum or plasma; column washing with buffer and collection of chromatographic fractions referring to the injection and washing steps because in these fractions is the purified lgg; elution with high ionic strength buffer of the adsorbed proteins in the chromatographic column, this fraction may be used for purification of other serum or plasma proteins; column regeneration with sodium hydroxide solution. The chromatographic fractions obtained from the feeding and washing steps provide high purity lgg.
