A mask is generated having unit value where the high pass filtered signal amplitude exceeds a selected threshold. If the mask has zero unit value for all other filtered signals, the mask value is multiplied by the low pass filtered signals. multiplied signals are added to high pass filtered signals and a coherence filter is applied to remove remaining primary energy to generate a multiple reflection model. the multiple reflection model is subtracted from coherently filtered seismic signals.
