摘要

The invention relates to a process and a biological filter system (10) for the removal of H2S from an H2S-contaminated energy production stream containing methane. The biological filter water system includes a biological filtertr (6) having biological filter support material consisting of a biological filter clone supporting a liquid biological membrane containing micro-organisms that: have the ability to oxidise H2S. The process includes:the stages of contact of the H2S-contaminated stream of energy production gas with the micro-organisms of the liquid organic film and the oxidation of at least part of the H2S in the contaminated H2S flow of energy production gas from micro-organismsresulting in a reduced H2S flow of energy production gas,where the process further includes the stage of adding an aqueous solution of nitrate to the H2S-contaminated stream of energy production gas before coming into contact with them; micro-organisms,allowing micro-organisms to oxidise H2S under toxic conditions. The invention also relates to the use of such a biological filter system (10) in the removal of H2S from an H2S-contaminated stream of methane-containing energy.
