This invention relates to the field of cancer prevention and treatment. Specifically,Indoleamine 2,3 -dioxygenase (IDO) protein or peptide fractions thereof, capable of causing anticancer immune responses, is supplied. Specifically,the invention relates to the use of the IDO or peptides derived from it or specific to the IDO T cells for the treatment of cancer. Therefore,the invention relates to an anticancer vaccine which may be used voluntarily in combination with other immunotherapy and specifically for the IDO Tariff T imported or importedIn vivo vaccination as a treatment for cancer. One aspect of the invention is that the medicines provided in the present can be used in combination with cancer chemotherapy. One perfurther aspect relates to the prevention and treatment of infections in the same ways as described above.
