APPLICATION OF APC REMAIN TO EARTH TREATMENT AND A PROCEDURE FOR STABILIZING ARSENE IN EARTH

The invention relates to the use of Air Pollution Control - APC - residue for treatment of contaminated soil, characterized in that the APC residue is obtainable by combustion of waste, such as municipal solid waste, and cleaning of the flue gas from the combustion by means of lime. This type of fly ash, or APC residue, has been found to be more effective than other types of fly ash (APC residues) for treatment of contaminated soil, in particular with respect to arsenic. A method for stabilizing arsenic in contaminated soil is also disclosed.
