Three independent approaches to reducing the permeability of gas molecules through polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polyester film or vessel wall by increasing mechanically or thermally induced crystallinity or the overall crystallinity level of a single or multilayer container, with these three approaches can be used independently or in combination with each other.
