The invention is related to methods for delivery of preparations based on oligonucleotides and their analogues to the heart. The invention discloses a method for efficient delivery of oligonucleotides to cardiac muscle cells in mammals by means of nanoparticles based on a copolymer of lactic and glycol acids (poly(lactic-coglycol) acid, PLGA). The invention can be used for therapy of a wide range of diseases that require targeted delivery of gene-therapeutic preparations to the heart, such as, e.g., Duchenne muscle dystrophy.
