METHOFS OF TREATING CANCER USING COENZYME Q10 COMBINATION THERAPIES

Provided are methods of treating an oncological disorder in a subject. The first embodiment comprises: (a) administering coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) to the subject; (b) discontinuing administration of the coenzyme Q10; and (c) administering at least one chemotherapeutic agent to the subject after administration with the CoQ10 has been discontinued, wherein the coenzyme Q10 is administered by continuous intravenous infusion for at least 24 h. The second embodiment comprises: (a) administering coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) to the subject; (b) administering at least one chemotherapeutic agent to the subject after administration of the CoQ10 is initiated; and (c) continuing treatment with the CoQ10 after administration of at least one chemotherapeutic agent is initiated, wherein the coenzyme Q10 is administered by continuous intravenous infusion for at least 24 h. The third embodiment comprises: (a) administering coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) to the subject; and (b) administering at least one chemotherapeutic agent to the subject at a dosage that is lower than standard dosages of the chemotherapeutic agent used to treat the oncological disorder, wherein the coenzyme Q10 is administered by continuous intravenous infusion for at least 24 h.
