COMPUTATIONAL AND MEASURING UNIT FOR FOREST, AGRICULTURAL AND GEOTECHNICAL APPLICATIONS

Novelty: the invention relates to the development of a network of stations meant to measure the environmental parameters. Constitution: each unit of the network is composed of: a measuring terminal, a Raspberry Pi-type computational unit with a special measuring board installed therein, two databases (one local and one remote database), a unit wirelessly transmitting data through cellular telephony (GSM/GPRS) or a directional WiFi antenna compatible with the 802.11b&g&n norms, a power-supplying unit (photovoltaic panel) and an installation pole. The measuring terminal is composed of a camera and sensors measuring the soil humidity and temperature, the air temperature, the atmospheric pressure, the wind velocity, the water supply and the rainwater level. All measurements are displayed, in real time, on a screen and through a web page for users enjoying access rights. Finally, the measurement data are stored up on a specific database for further processing and, even, for the creation of time series.
