For the top layer of a road surface hardening of type Konwecity, a mixture is used which comprises a stone fraction, a sand fraction, a filler fraction, and a binder fraction. The mixture is characterized by a mainly sand skeleton and a predominantly overcrowded mastic. The mineral aggregate has a grain size of a maximum of 8 millimeters. The stone grains embedded in the mortar can be aligned during compaction, as a result of which the stones with the flat side come to lie above, which ensures a favorable texture of the road surface. This ensures a low rolling resistance in combination with noise reduction.
