An animal management system for managing one or more animal animals in an environment, provided with a location system, adapted to measure the location of the animal, a remote-controlled aircraft and a control device. The control device is communicatively connected to the localization system for autonomous control of the aircraft based on the location of the animal. The system is further provided with a label adapted to be carried by the animal and to at least perform a measurement on the animal such as measuring a temperature, movement and posture of the animal. The tag is arranged, in use, to be communicatively connected to the control device. The animal management system is adapted to process information about the at least one measurement. Processing of the information about the at least one measurement is provided by the label or the control device. The control device is adapted to control the aircraft on the basis of the information about the at least one measurement.
