Method of controlling, by means of an electronic control and two valves, the direct action reducer (R1) in the gaseous exhaust engine installations. A programmable determination of the working pressure of the reducer to give the maximum engine loads a pressure value greater than that of the minimum engine power. It allows the scope of the installation to be extended to its standard parameters.
