The invention relates to a rectangular roof panel with a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction. The roof panel (1) comprises a solar panel (2), a watertight plate element (3) extending under and at a distance from the solar panel and attaching means (4) with which the solar panel and the plate element are mutually attached, wherein the plate element is provided on one longitudinal side with a first longitudinal profile (11) and provided on the other longitudinal side with a second longitudinal profile (12). The first and the second longitudinal profile bound a plate portion of the plate element, wherein a watertight seal is realized when the first longitudinal profile and a second longitudinal profile of a like plate element of an adjacent roof panel overlap each other, wherein the plate element is configured for the purpose of adjusting the degree of overlap of the two longitudinal profiles. The invention further relates to a set of such roof panels, a roof (300) provided with such roof panels and to a method for arranging such roof panels on a roof.
