A free -bore synchronous generator with permanent magnets, in particular for use in a vertical axis wind power plant consisting of a stand mounted in a housing and a rotary table mounted on a wall inside a stand on which non -magnetic magnets are symmetrically distributed. The top (4) and bottom (5) bearing shields are an integral part of the stand housing (1),where the upper bearing shield (4) of the generator is permanently fitted with the guide housing (9). Two official ball bearings (7) are mounted on the cylinder wall (6) of the rotor (3),while the lower bearing shield (5) of the housing housing (10) is extended.
