BIO-TECHNIQUE FOR CONTROL OF VARROA DESTRUCTOR DUST MITE, A PARASITE OF APIS MELLIFERA BEES, USING ATTRACTING COMPOSITIONS

The invention relates to a method to be used in agriculture for the control of Varroa destructor dust mite, a parasite of Apis mellifera bees. According to the invention, the method consists in fixing inside the beehive some matrices having an attracting composition conditioned, composition which consists of a mixture of isobutyric acid : butyric acid : isovalerianic acid (in a ratio of 1 : 1 : 1), kairomonal mixture identified in the drone brood from capped cells, or the compound 2-ethyl-hexanol, identified both in the volatiles emitted by the Varroa adults and in those emitted by the bee brood, the technique enabling the parasite removal from the bee hive, without affecting the environment.
