The method of preparing a polysiloxane Fabry-Perot interferometer located at the end of an optical fiber is based on forming a polysiloxane layer at the end of the optical fiber that is deposited on a solid which, after changing from a solid to a liquid state, has the ability to diffuse into polysiloxane. Over-diffusion of the solid into the polysiloxane makes it possible to produce a polysiloxane Fabry-Perot interferometer, which can find use in generating optical fiber sensors, by spacing the polysiloxane layer from the optical fiber face.
