Presettable IR remote control switch according to the present invention, a button is designated as the program switch which enables the device to enter "PROGRAM MODE". A signal transmitted from an old or any IR remote controller by pressing any chosen button on it is fed to the infrared sensor that demodulates said signal for the microcontroller to save it to its memory. After saving the data, the microcontroller automatically resets itself and "PROGRAM MODE" ends. If the same button is again pressed from the remote controller, that particular signal for that particular button is the only signal that the presettable IR remote control switch will change state from "make to break" or "break to make". In the case of power interruption, the same button from the same IR remote control is usable since the data is program in the memory of the microcontroller. The data on microcontroller's memory can be changed by letting it enter "PROGRAM MODE".
