A communication device for crime scene fingerprint matching, the communication device comprising a processor, a camera electrically connected to the processor, a display module electrically connected to the processor, a database operably connected to the processor for storing a pre-saved fingerprint image, a memory, comprising instructions, which when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform operations comprising capturing a fingerprint image through the camera then converting said fingerprint image to a black and white image then to a binary image, extracting corners, edges and blobs features from the binary image, comparing said features to the pre-saved fingerprint image, displaying result of the comparison on the display module.
