The invention relates to a duct bend (1) for a waste transport duct. It has an inlet end (2) and an outlet end and includes an outer duct shell (4). According to the invention, the duct bend (1) includes a lining (5) of a material having a hardness of at least 300 Brinell. The lining has a rear surface attached to the interior wall surface of the duct shell (4) and a front surface on its opposite side. The lining (5) longitudinally extends over a major portion of the duct bend (1), and circumferentially extends an angle in the range of 30-360°, and is located on a radially outer part of the interior wall surface.The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a duct bend.
