Previous greening systems for architectures have shown problems, especially with large-scale vertical use, with regard to water storage, combustibility of the materials, targeted water supply and stability of the plants (in the event of wind) and durability. The invention therefore relates to a self-supporting housing (1) for plants made of a non-combustible material, preferably aluminum, steel, stainless steel or concrete. By means of the connecting elements (2) and corresponding anchorages, the housings can be filled in multiple dimensions in terms of surface area. The filling (3), fixed connection medium to the housing, serves as a water reservoir and gives the plant roots the stability and anchoring possibility. Implemented and adjustable volume drippers (4) are used for water supply. Excess water in the housing is discharged through openings or connections for hoses (5) on the back. A built-in frost sensor (7) and humidity sensor (6) support the irrigation process.
