A telecommunications network based on the Internet Protocol comprising: a routing network based on the Internet Protocol (40); one or more communication terminals (10) based on Internet Protocol connected to the routing network based on the Internet Protocol; one or more general communication terminals (11) connected to the routing network based on the Internet Protocol; Push-to-Talk type control signaling means connected to each communication terminal based on the Internet Protocol; means for converting a Push to Talk control signal into said communication terminal based on the Internet Protocol into a first bit activation using bits inherited from a packet stream of the Real Time Transport Protocol; means for converting said first bit activation in said train of Real Time Transport Protocol packets to said push to talk control signal in said general communication terminal; means for initiating actions based on said push to talk control signal in said general communication terminal.
