External automatic portal (1, 1a) presenting at least a movable portion (3, 3a) that slides in a movement zone from an open position to a closed position through a passage of a delimited space and vice versa, the outer automatic portal (1, 1a) comprising means (2) for detecting the presence of at least one object in the movement zone, the detection means comprising at least one scanner (2) disposed at an upper end of the passage, the scanner (2) generating at least one scanning plane (8) that at least partially borders the displacement zone of said at least one movable portion (3, 3a) being substantially vertical or forming an acute angle with respect to a vertical plane containing the movable portion (3, 3a), in which the scanner (2) is a laser scanner comprising a sending cell and a receiving cell, a light beam being deviated leaving the emitting cell in different positions angular by a rotating mirror to form a scanning plane (8), and comprising several scanning planes (8) that intersect at the level of said at least one scanner (2), the rotating mirror having several inclined faces, each corresponding a scanning plane (8), in which the at least one scanning plane (8) defines at least two distinct and predefined detection zones that are successive according to a passage width dimension and comprising a high security zone (16, 18) and a security zone (17, 19), the default high security zone (16, 18) being an area where the risks of collision or portal jamming (1, 1a) are greatest, the portal further comprising automatic actuation means of the at least one mobile portion (3, 3a), the scanner (2) comprising a microprocessor having control means of the actuating means, the control means being configured to generate and to apply to the drive means different commands between a detection in the high security zone (16, 18) and the safety zone (17, 19), the portal comprising a first and second fixed uprights (4a, 4b) that frame the less partially the passage of the delimited space, the at least one movable portion (3, 3a) of the outer automatic portal (1, 1a) comprising at least one panel (3a), and in which the area (16, 18) high security is in the vicinity of the fixed upright (4a, 4b) through which the panel (3a) penetrates or slides transversely on the side of said fixed upright (4a, 4b) in front of the other fixed upright (4a, 4b).
