A method for determining a compensation coefficient for use in a method for temperature drift compensation of a temperature measurement device comprising a thermocouple (100) and a thermistor (220) for the reference junction compensation, the method comprising: creating (S200) a resistance-temperature (RT) table of the thermistor (220); acquiring (S201) an analog voltage generated in the thermistor (220) by a constant current source (230); converting (S202) the analog voltage acquired in a digital count; calculating (S203) a temperature difference between each temperature in the RT table and a predetermined reference ambient temperature; establish / adjust (S204) a compensation coefficient within a range between 0.5 and 1.5; calculate (S205) the compensation factors by multiplying the absolute value of the temperature differences calculated by the compensation coefficient; calculating (S206) a compensated digital count using the converted digital count and a corresponding calculated compensation factor; and measuring (S207) the temperature change measured by the thermocouple according to the temperature change of the surrounding environment; and repeating (S208) the steps of establishing / adjusting (S204) a compensation coefficient, calculating (S205) the compensation factors, calculating (S206) a compensated digital count, and measuring (S207) changing temperature until the measured temperature This is within a target range.
