The present invention is directed to a capsule for non-ferrous metalcollection that can collect a non-ferrous metal from a solution; and a methodfor collecting a non-ferrous metal using the same. The capsule fornon-ferrous metal collection comprises capsule contents and a shell coveringthe capsule contents, and functions by collection of a non-ferrous metalwithin the capsule when the capsule is immersed in a solution containing anon-ferrous metal. The capsule contents include a hydrophilic portion witha Shewanella bacteria, which is useful in collection of the non-ferrous metal.
