PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for positioning an end effector relatively to a fuselage assembly.SOLUTION: A configuration of a fuselage assembly 114 may be determined. An end effector 602 may be positioned relatively to the fuselage assembly 114 on the basis of the configuration determined. A set of actual reference locations may be identified for a set of reference points 640 on the fuselage assembly 114.
