This invention encompasses targeting-enhanced anticancer nanoparticles andpreparation methods for the same. In particular, this invention providestargeting-enhancedanticancer nanoparticles comprising non-covalently bound anticancer drugs,serum albumins as the nanoparticle base material, and porphyrin compounds astumor-targetingmoieties.The targeting-enhanced anticancer nanoparticles described in the presentinvention are characterized by non-covalently bound constituents: anticancerdrugs,serum albumin as the nanoparticle base material, and porphyrin compounds astumor-targetingmoieties, thus preventing common toxic side effects, enhancing thestructural stability of nanoparticles, and enhancing tumor targeting bytreatment withelectromagnetic waves due to the activity of porphyrin, without structural andfunctional changes. Taken together, the present invention provides achemotherapeuticmethod that maximizes drug delivery/tumor targeting and is expected to be asuccessful therapy for both early-stage and late-stage cancer.
