PREDICTIVE RISK MANAGEMENT FOR SUPPLY CHAIN RECEIVABLES FINANCING

A method for the predictive risk management of supply chain receivablesfinancing includes specifying an invoice for goods supplied in a supply chainandselected for asset backed financing and determining both a buyer and asupplier in thesupply chain associated with the invoice. The method also includes retrievinga set ofprior transactions in the supply chain involving products contracted forsupply from theidentified supplier and characterizing each of the transactions in the set asa perfect orderor an imperfect order. Finally, the method includes computing a supply chainexcellencyscore for the identified supplier based upon the imperfect orders as comparedto theperfect orders in the set and displaying an alert on condition that the supplychainexcellency score falls below a threshold value indicating a predicted risk ofnon-paymentof the invoice selected for asset backed financing.
