FUNDUS DRAWING ANALYSIS IN OPHTHALMOLOGICAL DIAGNOSTICS

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computerprogram product for fundus drawing analysis in ophthalmological diagnostics. Afundusdrawing analysis for ophthalmological diagnostics method includes firstspecifying a setof ophthalmological pathological features of an eye and then generating adatabase querywith the specified set. Thereafter, the database query may be submitted to adatabase ofophthalmological meta-data regarding different fundus images generated fordifferenteyes so as to retrieve a sub-set of the ophthalmological meta-data. Then,those of thedifferent fundus images that correspond to the sub-set are identified and theidentifieddifferent fundus images are retrieved. Finally, the retrieved fundus imagesare displayedin a user interface of a medical image processing host computing system alongwith astatistical indication of a number of each of the ophthalmologicalpathological featurespresent in the retrieved fundus images.
