The present invention relates to a security system for monitoring an ATM,comprising : ameans for detecting opening and closing of a shutter door; an image recordingmeans forrecording images in the ATM; means for communicating the ATM opening andclosingschedule to the CMS; and a central monitoring station (CMS) for remotelyreceivinginformation from said means for detecting opening and closing of the shutterdoor, whereinan alert is raised at the said CMS if the shutter door is opened or closedbeyond its scheduledtime.
