The present invention relates to N-(cyclopropylmethyl)-5-(methylsulfonyl)-N-{1-[1-(pyrimidin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl]ethyl}benzamide derivatives and the corresponding pyridine-carboxamide derivatives as well as related compounds of the general formula (I), to formulations and compositions comprising such compounds and to their use in the control of animal pests including arthropods and insects in plant protection and to such compounds for use in controlling ectoparasites on animals.
