Disclosed are a flicker debugging method and apparatus for a liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel comprises a plurality of pixel electrodes and at least one common electrode. The flicker debugging method comprises: applying a first common voltage to the common electrode, and acquiring a specific grayscale voltage, complying with a gamma curve, of a specific grayscale and acquiring at least one sampling grayscale voltage, complying with the gamma curve, of at least one sampling grayscale; applying the specific grayscale voltage to the pixel electrodes, adjusting the common voltage applied to the common electrode, and obtaining, by means of detecting a flicker value of a display image of the liquid crystal display panel, a common voltage when the flicker value is minimum and taking same as a second common voltage; and applying the second common voltage to the common electrode, adjusting the at least one sampling grayscale voltage, and obtaining, by means of detecting the flicker value of the display image of the liquid crystal display panel, a grayscale voltage when the flicker value is minimum and taking same as a gamma reference voltage of a corresponding sampling grayscale. In such a way, the probability of a disadvantageous flicker occurring in a display image when displayed in full grayscale can be reduced.
