In the present invention, a garnet silicate contains a silicate as a main component and is represented by a general formula: Lu₂CaMg₂(SiO₄)₃. The garnet silicate includes a first particle having a particle shape derived from the garnet crystal structure. The garnet silicate further contains alkali metals at least including lithium, and the content of the alkali metals is less than 2000 ppm. A garnet silicate phosphor includes: the garnet silicate; and an ion which is included in the garnet silicate and which functions as a light-emitting center. A wavelength transformer is provided with the garnet silicate phosphor. A light-emitting device is provided with the garnet silicate phosphor or the wavelength transformer.
