The present invention relates to a mechanically activated cementitious composite for stopping the impact of firearms, in which mixtures of composite Portland cement (CPC) mechanically activated by high-energy milling (HEM) with other ingredients, such as ordinary Portland cement, fine sand(s), fibres and polymeric additives, amongst other compounds, were designed for preparing high-performance composite walls able to stop various calibres up to type 50 (typically loaded in a Barret rifle). According to Mexican and American guidelines for ballistic testing, which imply approval of the concrete wall for bulletproof purposes when said wall withstands a single impact of a 50 calibre bullet fired from the Barret, the present invention results in composite walls (measuring 40 x 40 x 15 cm) using mechanically activated cement, the performance of which otherwise complied with said standard.
