The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications, and relates to a method, computer apparatus, and storage medium for selecting a cluster head node. The method comprises: dividing, according to a size of a room in a target house, the room into regions in accordance with a predetermined size rule; determining, according to position information of nodes in the target house, nodes contained in a first region of a first node, the first node being one of the nodes in the target house; and selecting, according to competition values of the nodes contained in the first region, a cluster head node from the nodes contained in the first region. The method provided in the present embodiment can perform region division on a room of a target house according to a predetermined size rule and the size of the room, and the regions obtained from the division do not have a wall passing through, thus preventing communication signals within a cluster from suffering significant obstacle-caused attenuation, and accordingly ensuring communication quality within the cluster.
