Provided is an emergency safety escape system of a high-speed vactrain, the system comprising a plurality of vacuum pipe units connected in sequence in a running-through manner, vacuum pipe valves arranged at both ends of each vacuum pipe unit for isolating neighbouring vacuum pipes, air inlet valves arranged on side walls of the vacuum pipes, escape outlets (1) arranged on the side walls of the vacuum pipes, grids (2) arranged outside a body of a high-speed train (4) in a collected or expanded manner for personnel evacuation, and nitrogen tanks arranged under the body of the high-speed train. By means of the structure, the dual requirements of high-speed train fire extinguishing and safe personnel evacuation can be satisfied, and therefore, the safety and reliability of the high-speed train can be effectively improved. Further provided is a fire extinguishing method.
