Provided is a method for evaluating the monetary value of a patent. The method comprises: acquiring a patent factor of an object patent; acquiring commercial data of a company holding the patent; acquiring technology market information in an application country of technology involved in the patent, the technology market information at least comprising technology breadth information about the patent; and based on the patent factor, the commercial data and the technology market information, using a pre-set calculation model to estimate the monetary value of the patent. The calculation model comprises a calculation function and variant coefficients corresponding to the patent factor, the commercial data and the technology market information, and variants input for the calculation function comprise: the product of the patent factor and the corresponding variant coefficient, the product of the commercial factor and the corresponding variant coefficient, and the product of the technology market information and the corresponding variant coefficient.
