The present solution relates to a multi-viewer television program recommendation method and system. The method comprises: if there are multiple viewers currently watching a television program at the same time, acquiring identity information and corresponding favorite program lists of the multiple viewers, performing computation to obtain identical television programs and counts of the identical television programs, sorting the same according to the counts, and providing, according to the sorting, a television program recommendation to the multiple current viewers. In this way, the present invention combines identical favorite programs of multiple viewers to recommend a television program, thus meeting the demand of the multiple viewers, and providing great convenience and superior viewer experience to the viewers.
