Provided is a method for preparing fucoxanthin by fermental cultivation of Nitzschia laevis, comprising the following process steps: step A: preparation of a seed solution; step B: fermental cultivation: transferring the seed solution to a sterile fermental cultivation medium according to a certain volume ratio so as to carry out aeration fermentation, and preparing a fucoxanthin fermentation liquor by means of feeding cultivation of nutrient components; step C: performing aeration and inducing cultivation on the fucoxanthin fermentation liquor under the irradiation of monochromatic light or mixed light to obtain a high-yield fucoxanthin induction culture solution; and step D: extracting fucoxanthin from cells of the high-yield fucoxanthin induction culture solution. According to the method, nutrient components are subject to feeding cultivation and fermentation conditions are optimized during the aerating cultivation of Nitzschia laevis seeds so as to remarkably improve the cell density of the fucoxanthin in sterile fermentation liquor, and then the accumulation of fucoxanthin is induced by illuminating the sterile fermentation liquor of the high-density fucoxanthin, thereby further improving the yield of fucoxanthin produced by fermentation.
