The present invention relates to a pallet load protector (2, 52), fork- lift truck (58) provided therewith and method for protecting load on a pallet. The pallet load protector comprises: • a frame (4) with a mounting element () configured to mount the pallet load protector at or on the fork-lift truck; • a pallet contact body (12, 54, 56) mounted at or on the frame and configured to come into contact with the pallet during picking up thereof; and • a sensor (14, 16, 18) or sensor system operatively connected to the pallet load protector and configured to measure an impact indication during picking up of the pallet.
