The energy dissipation component comprises an energy dissipation device (130), or the energy dissipation component comprises the energy dissipation device (130) and any one or both of an accessory member (400) and a connection joint; the connection device is configured in such a way that when the energy dissipation component has an out-plane deformation, the force acting on the energy dissipation component in the out-plane direction is at least partly released through the connection device. The connection device for the energy dissipation component can ensure the energy dissipation and shock absorption protection effects of the energy dissipation device on engineering structures.
