[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a wire grabber and a live-wire distributing tool utilizing the wire grabber such that not only easy and reliable gripping of an electric wire (wire gripping) can be achieved, but also a small number of components are required. [Solution] The grabber is equipped with: an upper grip section which is disposed at an upper part of a base section and grips an electric wire from above; a lower grip section which is disposed on the opposite side from the upper grip section across the electric wire in a vertically movable manner with respect to the base section; an arrow section which is disposed at a lower part of the lower grip section either integrally with or separately from the lower grip section; a support body which is disposed on the opposite side from the lower grip section across the arrow section and supports the arrow section by means of a screw which is screwed into a lower support section disposed at a lower part of the base section and which extends in a longitudinal direction of the base section; and a holding section for holding the lower grip section so as not to be separated from the base section.
