A psychological stress assessment method and an apparatus. The method comprises: acquiring a physiological parameter measurement value of a user; determining, according to the physiological parameter measurement value of the user and a psychological stress assessment model of the user, a psychological stress assessment result of the user, wherein the psychological stress assessment model of the user is determined by means of a physiological parameter reference value of the user, a psychological stress value corresponding to the physiological parameter reference value of the user and a general psychological stress assessment model; or the psychological stress assessment model of the user is determined by means of the physiological parameter reference value of the user and the general psychological stress assessment model. The general psychological stress assessment model reflects a variation relationship between changes in psychological stress and changes in physiological parameters. The method can be used to improve reliability when predicting the psychological stress of a user.
