METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FULLY AUTOMATED SEGMENTATION OF IMAGE OF JOINT, BASED ON PATIENT-SPECIFIC OPTIMAL THRESHOLDING METHOD AND WATERSHED ALGORITHM
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for fully automated segmentation of an image of a joint, based on a patient-specific optimal thresholding method and a watershed algorithm. The method for fully automated segmentation of an image can comprise the steps of: extracting, in connection to a thresholding method and a load path algorithm, region information corresponding to a target object to be segmented, from a medical image obtained by photographing an object to be examined; generating a first mask (Mask 1) on the basis of the extracted region information; generating a morphological patch by performing morphological segmentation on the medical image, on the basis of the watershed algorithm; generating a second mask (Mask 2) on the basis of the generated morphological patch; and segmenting an image corresponding to the target object from the medical image on the basis of the first mask and the second mask.
