Disclosed in the present invention are a method and a system for offline downloading of a router by means of fingerprint, for solving the problem of low privacy and security during offline file downloading of the router. The method comprises: S1: acquiring a preset fingerprint to serve as a downloading key, storing the preset fingerprint in a fingerprint library, and allocating a corresponding storage space; S2: receiving fingerprint information sent by a terminal, and determining whether the fingerprint sent by the terminal matches the preset fingerprint; S3: if the fingerprint sent by the terminal matches the preset fingerprint, determining whether a signal that file offline downloading needs to be performed is received; and S4: if the signal that file offline downloading needs to be performed is received, performing offline file downloading according to downloading information of the file.
