In this method, the network performance of ONoCs caused by thermal effect is analyzed and modeled systematically from device level to network level. To support this approach, a transfer spectral function expression of Micro-ring Resonator's drop port with resonance wavelength of 1550 nm at 30°C in ON state is fitted. And the relationship between loss coefficient and crosstalk coefficient of basic switching elements in ONoCs with temperature is derived. Finally, based on the proposed and derived formulas, the overall performance of ONoCs based on thermal effect is fully modeled, analyzed and verified by simulation. The formal analytical method proposed provides a criterion for the performance analysis and studies of ONoCs based on thermal effect. Moreover, it has high scalability and portability, and can provide a technical support for future research work about ONoCs.
